Explore the health and demographic data of New York City's boroughs. Hover over a borough to see its data, and click on a borough for more detailed information.
The data are derived from the 2024 PLACES: Local Data for Better Health project, New York City Department of City Planning District Profiles, and the American Community Survey 2022 Language Spoken at Home for the Population 5 Years and Over and Demographic and Housing Estimates tables.
Zip code level language statistics are estimates calculated using the HUD-USPS 'ZIP-TRACT' ZIP Code Crosswalk files from the first quarter of 2021. As a result, the uncertainty of estimates of the aggregate language data is higher at the zip code level, than at the tract level (95% CI).
Shapefiles for zip code areas, Community Districts, and Public Use Microdata Areas (PUMAs) were collected from the New York City Open Data Portal.
